Al,
I found this article inspirational and I am going to post it on LinkedIn
later on. As you say, we had a great all-around discussion this morning.
Before talking about the church and spirituality we were talking about the
police and then mental health. I think they are all linked or should be. I
wanted to say this morning, but I thought that the police should all have a
fundamental education on mental health and how to deal with people from a
mental health perspective.
I think the police would be more effective if they understood people’s
behaviour better. I also think that people would trust the police if they
knew that police had empathy with their condition.
But as it is many of the police have mental health issues which compromises
their ability to deal with people.
Anyway, this is probably never going to happen.
Best Wishes
