A friend recommended this book. I have not read it. The title sounds interesting as it probes one of the central themes of our Craic discussions. Certainly, the hubris of American exceptionalism is tied to its overwhelming adoption of meritocracy over the common good.

Should I get to it, a report will be forthcoming. Otherwise, if anyone else reads the book, please fill us in as to its merit. The book arrives with high praise.

Bob
