[Craic] Leafs blow 4 goal lead and lose game in overtime

Well, how to match the loss of such a lead?

How about Canada way out in front of the US for most of a year in managing the Covid pandemic only to see that lead slipping away.  US stats are falling fast, and so is the death count.  I spoke yesterday on Zoom with friends and relatives from California, Ohio, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania and Florida. Although many reported far more incidents of Covid in their families than what we have experienced here, all those affected speedily recovered.

Meanwhile, all of those dozen or more on the Zoom call are getting or have already received their vaccinations and, in many cases, both shots.  Those on the call also spoke of family members ranging from 76 years old to those in their mid-20’s having received or about to receive their vaccinations.

Meanwhile, we here in Canada and Ontario sit in the corner like little Jack Horner sticking our thumbs in a promised pie while being served up a ravaged economy, few vaccinations and a seemingly second rate vaccination implementation plan.

Are our politicians and civil service watching a 4 goal lead evaporate?  How can this be happening?

Where have you gone Frank Mahovolich?
