Hi Bob

That Ideas piece confirms a lot of my understanding of the history of
Technocracy accept it doesn't deal with the role of the technocrats in
the third Reich. My interest in technocracy was piqued by Laudato Si
where the technocratic paradigm is considered to be the cause of our
worlds major environmental problems. Francis says of the technocrats

technology tends to absorb everything into its own cloud like logic
and those who are surrounded with technology know full well that it
moves forward in the final analysis neither for profit nor for the
well being of the human race and that in the most radical sense of
the term, power is its motive -- a lordship over all.(laudato si 108)

I don't know if you read this paper of mine.(attached)  I sent it out a
year ago,   hoping there would be some discussion generated.

I have noticed that in Europe Global socialists like Yanis Varoufakis of
Diem25 <https://diem25.org/en/> use the term technocracy to understand
class struggle and the rising dominance of techno feudalism.
Technocracy did not go quietly into the sunset as the Idea program
suggests.

Be well

Art
