Indigenous communities in the same manner as Germany--The Star July 31, 2022

It seems Mr. Farber has a double standard when it comes to genuine
apologies followed by action.  Yes the Catholic Church must back up its
apology to Canada's Indigenous people with concrete action and Pope Francis
has made that clear.  However, when it comes to Apartheid Israel as named
by numerous human rights organizations like Amnesty International, Human
Rights Watch, and Israel's own B'Tselem Mr. Farber is strangely silent.
What say ye to the to the blatant destruction of Palestinian villages and
the massacres of their inhabitants, ethnic cleansing, destruction of
Palestinian homes, the bombing of undefended civilian populations, the
uprooting of olive orchards, the unrestricted building of settlements on
stolen Palestinian land, the gassing and shooting of nonviolent protestors
or stone throwing children subjected from birth to the humiliation of their
parents at checkpoints that restrict access to education and medical
treatment.  The hypocrisy is glaring!
