Hi Allan

I remember you mentioning Haidts thesis that liberals tend to use the 
"purity" moral taste bud to judge their opponents.  I think that the 
current attacks on Poilievre are an example of this thesis.  I am more 
familiar with Linda Mcquaids oped right now. Her eloquent ad hominum 
attack on Poilievre portrays him as tainted by his past associations 
with Harper and conservative policy.  I am sure many liberals will be 
repulsed by Poilievre's personality they do not address the issues that 
brought Poilievre to power in the conservative party.  Hence they will 
serve only to further polarize the working class.

The only valid critique of Poilievre in my opinion came from Singh.  He 
stated that Poilievre is focused on government tax cuts but ignores the 
huge profit windfalls of the oil companies.

He say's this as a critique but he does not say it in parliament where 
it might have a chance at changing things.     If he was a serious 
socialist  rather than an authoritarian globalist he might suggest a 
higher  tax on the producers or a price freeze paid to producers or 
higher royalty charges to the oil companies or the big one at least.

This focus on Poilievre's personality only serves to obscure the effects 
of the globalist agenda on the Canadian working class.
