This is an excellent talk with visuals that offer us many important insights; I like these two points:

•          The car has created a segregated landscape – we see this dominance in so much city planning.

•          How we need to be conscious of the ‘unintended consequences’ of many design decisions we make – such as accommodating cars, fire trucks.



He offers a more humane vision for cities – how they could have character and affordability - his ideas are years ahead of the narrow perspectives of our politicians.
