Madame,
The censure and removal of Sarah Jama from the NDP caucus over her Israel-Gaza comments is most unfortunate.  The NDP could use more principled MPPs and I dare say even a leader capable of reflecting more humane values opposing the genocide and collective punishment of the Palestinians, with the ability to view the conflict in its context without pandering to the Zionist Israeli lobby; even as I expect such pandering from the Premier of this province.  I'm proud to be a long-time member of Jewish Voice for Peace and Independent Jewish Voice, even as I am not Jewish, I fully support their values and quest for peace and reconciliation for all people of Israel-Palestine, and indeed the Middle East.  I trust history will be on the side of Ms. Jama as there are increasing calls for an immediate ceasefire, an end to the siege and apartheid from around the world, but not in our Provincial Legislature. Is this too much to ask of any politician now days?  I've been a member of the NDP for a very long time, though I think now I will no longer fund the party and my membership may very well be in jeopardy.
