>>
>> Hello all
>>
>> Thanks for your ongoing solidarity. Sending this note with a time sensitive event and some Advent actions as well as some news from Wendy via her connections. Apologies for it's length, but lots of good information.
>>
>> KAIROS Palestine and WSCF (World Student Christian Federation) invite you to a webinar TOMORROW at 10AM EST - "Witness from Palestine: Reclaiming Humanity Amidst Double Standards and Dehumanization":
>>
>> Few weeks later after violence erupted in and around Gaza, mainstream news continues to serve political interests and international power dynamics.
>>
>> As a genocide is happening, the international community hesitates.
>>
>> While the Palestinian People is dehumanized and people become numbers, the voices of those who are suffering remain unheard.
>>
>> Please join us on December 5 (at 17:00 Palestinian time) in amplifying Palestinian voices, advocating for justice, and ensuring that every individual's dignity and rights are respected.
>>
>> Let's stand together to reaffirm that Palestinian rights are human rights, starting from the fundamental right to life.
>>
>> Co-conveners: WSCF, WCRC, Kairos Palestine, PCUSA

>> The United Church of Canada Advent Prayers with the Church in the Holy Land is a series of prayers and photos along with a reminder to engage in advocacy too. This is attached for your use.
>>
>> Online course Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: Is Peace Possible? from St. Paul's University in Ottawa. This may be of particular interest to those engaged in education, awareness-raising and mobilising for advocacy on this and other just peace work in the church(es). It is available to non-degree and auditing students. Visit registration link for more details.
>> Some of you were with us, last April, for an ecumenical panel discussion organized by a group of church leaders on New Developments in Israel-Palestine and the Role of the Churches <https://ustpaul.ca/en/new-developments-in-israel-palestine-and-the-role-of-the-churches-_7720_17.htm>. Many of us have seen their hopes go up in flames with the new war that has broken out between Israel and Gaza. In an attempt to better understand what is going on from a non-violent and decolonial perspective, professors Michaël Séguin and Michel Andraos from Saint Paul University will be offering a timely online course (on Zoom) this winter on The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: Is Peace Possible? This course will also be informed by the trip Prof. Séguin and Andraos made last summer in the region and the contacts they made with Dar al-Kalima University and Bethlehem University with the purpose of establishing collaboration agreements between these two universities and Saint Paul.
>>
>> This course is another step toward solidarity that aims to foster education on this critical situation and a lasting peace for all people. Please share the information about this winter course with your constituencies. We consider this course as one follow-up action after last spring’s panel. For more details, see the attached poster. Non-degree students and auditors can register at: https://ustpaul.ca/en/prospective-students-special-student-and-auditor_557_1203.htm

>>
>> I give thanks for all of you as we continue to wait, pray and work for peace in the Holy Land.
