<p class="MsoNormal">The PBO is estimating $77 billion for the warships. This is about the same cost as the fighter jet report. See the PBO’s infographic here.

<p class="MsoNormal">Also, the costs don’t include other costs i.e. for offsetting the carbon emissions of the new fighter jets. Including these other costs are where I think we can make an important distinction and a valuable contribution from the pure PBO
and Auditor General economic reports. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">As well, this week the PBO released a report that said it will cost $15 billion for the federal government to meet the Jordan Principle and compensate First Nations communities for lack of social services. That is a perfect hook for us
– spend $15 billion that the court mandated for First Nations communities not fighter jets:
