Maybe this will help you understand, Art. World wide 3 million people have died from COVID-19. No deaths from the vaccine. The math is simple. Paul.

The real problem with the vaccine passport issue is that peoples beliefs regarding vaccines do not match the evidence thanks to the indoctrination and hysteria we are being fed by the mass media. Two facts make Bob's question " To personalize this, would you be willing to send your child to a summer camp if staff weren’t vaccinated?"

Two facts that people should consider when answering.

The covid19 vaccines were not designed to stop transmission only to lessen symptoms.

Children do not get sick from the vaccine.

The logical answer based on these two facts should be that not vaccinating staff should not lead to negative outcomes for children.

There are all kinds of possible legal challenges to implementation of vaccine passports. But these challenges take time.

Another element that puzzles me is why are they vaccinating people in nursing homes if you have already have had covid19. Shouldn't previous exposure top covid19 by just as valid as vaccination in passports.

Personally from my understanding of the disease and my belief that my metabolic system is well tuned and healthy I would consider it a lower risk to contract the virus rather than the vaccine.

Please help me understand. In this context how could a vaccine passport serve any purpose?

Good thinking Bob;

Why is it that we require children to be vaccinated as a protection from certain ailments in order to attend a public school?

Is it logical to accept the above as a way of life, and then argue against a vaccination that protects people of all ages against the effects of COVID-19?

I hope that the issue of vaccine passports will not become a divisive issue. Although, with Trudeau failing to take leadership on this question, it may be Jason Kenney who punts it into the public square here in Canada.

Hi Rob;

As for government involvement, consider the current protocols from The Liberal government regarding getting back into Canada by air. In the Government website it states that vaccinations are not required and will be ignored regarding quarantines.

Here’s my take among 3 options for how demand for proof of vaccinations may play out.

1. Governments will require

2. Businesses will require

3. Consumers will require

Option One
This will be a major battle ground between those who argue that it is the responsibility of the state to protect the common good of citizens and those who argue that the state would be guilty of overreach in any attempt to limit one’s personal rights and freedoms.

Even if nations do not demand vaccination passports for its citizens, they may, however, require such for tourists and visitors.

2. Option Two
Businesses may attempt to impose proof of vaccination, esp in sectors such as air travel, cruise ships and possibly hotel stays. Personal service operations, such as massage therapy and hair salons, may also. Hospitals and Medical Care could very likely join the list. Lawyers and unions will be active on this portfolio.

Once again, those in favour will argue for the safety of the workers, customers and clients. Beyond the loss of freedoms, those against will argue that if staff are vaccinated, why should they be concerned with the rights of others.

3. Option Three
Here’s what I see as the driving agent with this issue. Sooner or later, consumers will start demanding that the teacher, child care worker, summer camp employee serving their children be vaccinated. Rational or not, even if they themselves are vaccinated, consumers will also feel uncomfortable travelling in planes and trains with staff and passengers who have not been vaccinated. Lawsuits loom once again! Consumers will be looking for and possibly demanding that businesses declare “All staff fully vaccinated!” This may be the more powerful trajectory rather than requiring that citizens prove they are vaccinated.

To personalize this, would you be willing to send your child to a summer camp if staff weren’t vaccinated?

In any event, such a heavyweight fight is next on the boxing card and politicians, following the lead of Governor De Santis of Florida, will soon be placing their bets as they determine how best to position themselves for the next election cycle.

Bob
