SCHEDULE FOR PEACE CARAVAN IN OTTAWA 



MONDAY MAY 27 

Arrive in Ottawa from Toronto about 2:00 

Bronson Centre - booked and paid for - large space, stage and sound system 



4:00 Set up our banners, tables and peace art from the caravan 



4:30 - 6:00 

Workshops - discussions on and recommendations for Peace 

WILPF three issues 

- Demilitarize with Tamara Lorincz & UROOJ putting an intersectional lens on war in Gaze and around the world 

- Decarbonize with Kathrin Winkler & youth activists 

- Decolonize with Lorelei Williams from Butterflies in Spirit and local indigenous leader ? WHO 

- Peace making art & posters by Pia Massie and others ? 



6 - 7 PM Potluck / reception - everyone brings things, East Coast Caravan arrives 



7 PM - 8 

MC Patsy George, Lorelei Williams, Indigenous woman leader, performer and activist, 

Ellen Woodsworth & Kathrin Winkler or Sandy sharing stories from the caravan and how to we can build a peace movement, funding for social issues and address Indigenous TRC & MMIWG recommendations versus $50 Billion for the Defence Budget, 

Report back with recommendations from each workshop

SPEAKERS: Masa Kateb story teller, Rachel Small World Beyond War, Urooj Mian She Associates, Tamara Lorincz WILPF 

WRAP UP WITH MUSIC

TUESDAY MAY 28 



12:00 Rally on Parliament Hill with indigenous leaders, Montreal Raging Grannies & speakers from the caravan WILPF & VOW and ? 



Meeting with MP’s - Ellen reached out to May’s assistant and Don Davies, letters sent to the leaders 



Riverside United Church :

Tamara posing Federal Budget versus green socially sustainable, just world VOW - Kathrin/Lyn ? 

Story telling by Masa 

Peace art making workshops by artist Pia Masse 

Music by Joy and Raging Grannies

On to Ottawa Peace Caravan events to be held in:

In most of these cities people are generously offering to billet us. 




Our caravan has a Art Van and another van and is composed of a muslim, Jew, two of Japanese heritage, lesbians, men & women, artist, film maker, story teller, musician, social media expert who will post daily, doctor, grandmother and many other amazing skills. 




The two vans will be driven back across Canada and will have room for a couple of other drivers if you know of anyone who would like to join us.
