Hello Peace Trainers, 

Here is an update on Peace Train #2 from Montreal to Quebec to participate at the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW): 

(apologies to TPNW peace trainers that may be getting this info twice) 



1. The train leaves on March 2 nd . We hope to have a send off event with media and friends at the Montreal train station. The TPNW proceedings are from March 3-7. Elizabeth May is only there on March 3, so we are hoping to have a media event sometime that day while she is there. 

2. Friends have been asking if they can help financially support the TPNW Peace Trainers . As before, donations can be sent via e-transfer to Bernadette Wyton at this email. And, as before, detailed financial records will be kept. 

3. Attached is the approved working paper that PTC has submitted to the UN for the Third Meeting of Stated Parties to the TPNW. It is basically our manifesto. The material can be used to help create an email to send to your MP and other politicians to highlight the current nuclear threat, the lack of our government’s engagement on this matter at the UN level, and our desire that Canada sign and ratify the TPNW.

Thomas Clyde works for CPAC 

Christophe Elie musician from Ottawa – performed for/with PTC in Ottawa. (planning a evening of music in New York) 

Walter Dorn professor of defence studies at the Royal Military College and the Canadian Forces College 

one of PTC’s main advisors – key note speaker and panelist for PTC in Ottawa 

Elizabeth May MP and federal Green Party leader who started this by challenging us to another peace train to New York.
