Peace Train in Nanaimo February 13 th . 



On Thursday February 13 th , several Vancouver Island members of the recent Peace Train to Ottawa will talk about their journey. Members of the public are welcome to join us at the Harbour Front Library at 10 am upstairs in the large meeting room. 

Sally Gellard from Merville was one of the 42 west coast people travelling from Vancouver to Ottawa this past November. "This group felt they must do something to convince Canada’s decision makers to take a stand and re-invest in peace-keeping activities”, she said. 

“We were impressed with this small group and their process as well as their accomplishments", said Dyane Brown from WILPF Nanaimo. “We invited them here so that we could find out more.”
