I adapted this letter  from  the Just Peace Advocates  sample letter. I hope he gets many  many letters,  Dyane

Dear Prime Minister Mark Carney,

Iran  has no nuclear weapons.
Iran signed  the non proliferation treaty.
Iran has the same right to use nuclear energy for its  energy requirements as any other country .It is illegal and immoral to attack a country  on the suspicion that they might in the future develop  weapons to attack.

It is  Israel that has nuclear weapons and  that has refused to sign the non proliferation treaty.
Israel and USA are bombing and killing,  breaking  international laws  and destroying  innocent people and  their lands.
Please do not support  this carnage and drag us along.

The idea that this aggression is about an Iranian nuclear arms program is illogical. For many decades Israeli officials have claimed Iran is on the cusp of acquiring nuclear weapons and in recent months both US intelligence Dnd the International Atomic Energy Agency have said there’s no evidence of this. Additionally, it’s Donald Trump that ripped up the successful Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) Iran nuclear agreement in 2018.

The two countries that have attacked Iran are nuclear armed states that have sought to block any effort to develop a Middle East Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone, which most countries in the region have supported. Canada has said it supports a nuclear weapons free Middle East yet has opposed organizing a regional conference on the establishment of such a zone. Canada also opposes the Treaty on Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons and voted against a resolution calling on Israel to sign the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) backed by 153 countries.
We can do better than this.
