[Sundaycommunity] Disability advocates say assisted dying bill fails to protect vulnerable Canadians

Catherine, there are two issues going on here:  one is the issue of MAID
and the other is the issue of a disabled person who can't get the care he
needs at home.  I am not familiar enough with the provisions of MAID to
comment on that.  Being told that his only alternative is to go to a
nursing home at this time (given what we have learned about what is going
on in so may LTC homes) is what is scary to the disability community.
