[Sundaycommunity] a wonderful TED talk about the climate crisis

Hi all,

I am in agreement with points made above, esp. those of Roberto.  We are
talking about the common good when it comes to the situation of the
pandemic.  Yes, there are strong immune systems and there are those who
have compromised immune systems no matter what they do, eat, etc.  I never
thought of this, but recently I heard a medical professional refer to Type
1 diabetes as an "autoimmune disorder".  Folks, I did not get Type 1
diabetes because I ate too much sugar in the first 10 years of my life.  I
am and have been dependent on the medical/scientific community for all the
ways in which I am still alive, as I wouldn't have my two beautiful
children without it, or even my life itself.

Covid is here to stay, vaccines haven't prevented it, you can still get
sick but not as sick (or even die) even if you are vaccinated.  I have been
getting my flu shots regularly for a very long (once upon a time had to pay
for it) which I did, given I was in a high risk category.  Well, that
vaccine isn't perfect either.  I was sick with the flu one time a number of
years ago.  I had made an appointment with my family doctor about my ODSP
application and though it wasn't really a good thing to do, (for others or
myself) went to the office for the appointment.  I apologized for coming,
but was running out of time for these important forms.  I reminded her that
I had had my flu shots in the fall, to which she replied "Well, the vaccine
didn't cover that strain this year."

I also read an interesting article the other day, which was a response to
the question "Can an employer force employees to get their vaccines?" and
this argument answered that question, (on the basis of our Constitution)
with a resounding "yes, they can".  If I can find it, I will forward it to
