Friends,

Pope Francis packed a lot into his homily at his Christmas Eve Mass in St. Peter's Basilica.

In just two minutes 31 seconds, he admonished us to remember the poor. The Pope reminded us that baby Jesus born in poverty should remind people that serving others is more important than seeking status or spending a lifetime in pursuit of success. He also pointed out that the shepherds, like farmers to this day, do not have a day off. He also spoke of the dignity of labour and the need to ensure safe working conditions for workers. All this in less than two and a half minutes…

If only we could all learn to be so clear, direct and concise…

Have a blessed Christmas,

Roswita
