Thanks for sharing your memories.  You have an amazing ability with details like that.
Your email prompted me to look back through some electronic files I have.  I found Sylvia's obituary: she died on Jan. 29, 2011.  I also have many pictures from the trip Mary Lou and I took to Australia, mid-March to mid-April, 2011, during which time we visited with Robin Konig in Melbourne.  He had left Toronto in the late spring or early summer of the previous year, 2010.  Which I think, would place our retreat gathering most likely in the spring of 2010.

It was a community retreat held at the Centre for Creative Ministries on Dawes Avenue.

Brian, you had brought Sylvia and her walker; I recall you taking it out of your trunk. All the participants had to remove their shoes to avoid scratching the hardwood floor; however, Sylvia was exempt from that. I was very happy that she was able to join us, despite frailty and some health issues.

I found myself in the middle of the photo behind you and Basil Jackson.

The retreat would have taken place between 1995, when Liz, David Walsh, I and others found our way to the Sunday Community and 2010. I recall that Antoinette passed away in August 2011; I was in the Soo looking after my mother and regretted being unable to attend her funeral. However, we did have a Memorial Mass for her later which was attended by some of her family when I was back in Toronto and able to attend.

If I find Sylvia’s obituary, or other reference to her in past PPs, I should be able to narrow down the years more closely.

Hi Sunday Community, I was just looking through some papers and came across this photo, which I have scanned and attached here.  It's a picture of the members of our Sunday Community who took part in a community retreat day many years ago. The day was animated by Joan Martin from the Toronto Catholic District School Board, who is seated at the left end of the front row.  I don't remember the year or date, but it harks back quite awhile. There are a number of people in the picture who have left us for the afterlife:  Basil Jackson in the second row, Sylvia in the 3rd row, Antoinette in the 4th row, Don Moncrief in the last row.  There are also a number of people who left the community for various reasons, often to move to some other part of the country or the world.  In the middle of the back row, next to Bill Watson, wearing a beard, is Fr. Robin Konig, the Aussie priest who so often celebrated Eucharist with us, and who left long ago to return to Melbourne.
