About the date of the photo: I got some help from Katie Engles. I thought: as a parent of young children,
she would know their ages, and she did. She wrote that Claire was 3 and Sarah was 6. The photo was taken in 2001.

Katie mentioned that Lee took the children outside for an activity, and also provided the last names of the other girls.
I recognized Sarah, and Janet Whitney-Brown, but not her sister (Monica) or the Jeffersons. That name didn’t register,
until I remembered that Patrick Kennedy gave their son his last name, and his wife, Beth Jefferson,
gave her family name to their daughters. Just like Pat Smiley!

Thank you, Brian Halferty! I enjoyed the memories. and I echo Rosemary’s comments about the people. You’re the best!

It's a picture of the members of our Sunday Community who took part in a community retreat day many years ago. The day was animated by Joan Martin from the Toronto Catholic District School Board, who is seated at the left end of the front row. I don't remember the year or date, but it harks back quite awhile. There are a number of people in the picture who have left us for the afterlife: Basil Jackson in the second row, Sylvia in the 3rd row, Antoinette in the 4th row, Don Moncrief in the last row. There are also a number of people who left the community for various reasons, often to move to some other part of the country or the world. In the middle of the back row, next to Bill Watson, wearing a beard, is Fr. Robin Konig, the Aussie priest who so often celebrated Eucharist with us, and who left long ago to return to Melbourne.
