Thank you Brenda for this and Pat, Randy, and others who have responded.  Like many I am bewildered by the tepid response of most of our Bishop's to this past week's revelations.  This priest shows much courage in calling out the cowardice of a church leadership too far removed from the lives of the people!  We are so fortunate to have wonderful priests in our community who do get it and walk with us on the journey of life!  However, this deconstruction of a church based on patriarchy, power, dominance, racism, sexism, homophobia etc, truly seems to reflect the will of the Holy Spirit and may it's breath move far and wide renewing everything it touches.  Hopefully, the Church that emerges from this will be a more authentic living of the Gospel of peace and justice envisioned by Jesus.
