I recently came across a new book written by Pope Francis. Actually, the Title page says it was written "In conversation with Austen Ivereigh". The book was published during the past year and is entitled: "Let Us Dream: The Path to a Better Future."  (I'm attaching a scanned copy of the book cover.)
The book is an easy and gentle read, and I'm finding it interesting because it is written during our current pandemic and addresses so many of the issues that people have been facing, from the fear of the virus, to the many social restrictions that have been put in place, to our hopes and dreams for what the future might look like.  It also touches on other burning issues of the day: poverty, racism, genocide, the climate and our damaged Earth.
Here's a brief paragraph from page 36, just to give you some of the flavour of the book:'In every personal "Covid," so to speak, in every "stoppage," what is revealed is what needs to change: our lack of internal freedom, the idols we have been serving, the ideologies we have tried to live by, the relationships we have neglected.  What is the greatest fruit of a personal Covid? I'd say patience, sprinkled with a healthy sense of humor, which allows us to endure and make space for change to happen."
I'm enjoying reading the book and am finding encouragement and inspiration in it.
