Thankyou for all your work on this, and your faithfulness, and your dedication.  Staying connected through the use of the list-serve, and also through Zoom, has been enormously important and valuable to us all.
I hope you and Angie are doing well, and surviving through what seems to be amazingly difficult weather on the BC coast.

I have managed this email list for close to  15 years now.   When Yahoo groups closed down their operations  I created the list server integralshift.ca. Like google I offer my list server for free except I don't exploit the personal data of participants.  With Google groups and with gmail accounts your email is automatically scanned and mined for syntactic and semantic structures that are stored in googles massive privately owned databases.  This meta information is  used to build profiles of each user and includes attitudinal preferences like your convincer strategies that can be determined by your grammatical preferences.  These profiles are increasingly used to present you with information specific to you that  will push your emotional buttons and there by control your behaviour.  This hypnotic fuzzy logic can only be countered by reason and evidence based dialogue.  As a long time practitioner of  the Art and Science of Neuro Linguistic Programming I have watched this  behaviourist technology grow.  In the battle between fuzzy logic and reason I have chosen reason and human growth. At the same time I am aware about how these technologies can be used to control and enslave our minds. 
 
 
When we were first locked down from having our regular Sunday liturgies,  I recognized the importance of continuing our community in a virtual environment. I initiated and continue to use my personal resources to maintain the zoom liturgies.  The one thing that I have insisted on with the services I provide is freedom of expression and respectful debate of differences.  Democracy cannot exist without freedom of expression.  Having freedom of expression can get messy but we are far better off than in the censored world of 1984 where "War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength." ~ George Orwell
    
   - I have been making some tweaks to the list server software to resolve some of the administrative problems.  I believe that the undesirable format of the list messages has now been fixed.  You may want to repost messages that appeared in the .eml format   
 
   - A second problem I was dealing with was a problem with cross posting .  When an email message is posted to several lists it creates a problem for list moderators when individuals from other lists try to post to the Sunday Community list.  to avoid this I have limited the number of correspondents  that can appear in the To field of the email.   To avoid having your email deferred to the moderator do not cross post your message.     
 
   - Also the list server does not like you to include corespondents in the BCC field.  If you do so ,  you or the administrators will get ‘implicit destination’ message.     
 
   - The original problem I was trying to fix  are munging errors received from Bell based email servers.  I may have corrected this problem but only through further error messages can we tell.
   - Finally to avoid sending duplicate messages to the Sunday Community only send to one address.   sundaycommunity at integralshift.ca is synonymous with sundaycommunity at lists.integralshift.ca. Pick either address but not both.    
 
 
I am sorry for any inconvenience these rules create.  i will continue to try and resolve problems that arise with the list.  Unfortunately documentation is very limited for the software and we have to proceed with trial and error.
