[Sundaycommunity] Fr. Jack Costello, Mother Angelica and Pope Francis

Jack referred to himself as a conservative from the philosophical point of
view. Unfortunately this has become in our parlance a catchword for "right
wing" and is very political. Philosophically, Jack does not want the RC to
'throw the baby out with bathwater'. In other words he may well want to
see some gradual and lay-inspired reforms in the church but retaining what
is good and beautiful about it. I have been accused of being right wing
about certain issues but I do not and never have seen the value of
revolutions. I am not sure I have the energy right now to explain all this
but certainly this was something i put a lot of intellectual energy into
when I was in my 20s and 30s.
