[Sundaycommunity] Refugees from Afghanistan

Hello Friends,

From time to time our community has helped refugee families coming to Toronto, over the past many years.
We contacted Mario Calla, a long time member of our community, to see how we might help the people coming from Afghanistan today.
I have copied his response to us below.

"Yes, we're in the thick of this initiative as we're looking after over 600 Afghan refugees. Currently, their needs are being looked after as they are in hotels and we are providing for their basic needs. However, as they move out they will need household items to get them started and the usual things for kids  (clothes, toys, etc.). Of course, number one on the list is housing. If you know of any available affordable units let me know so I can pass it on.
 
We are also setting up a fund for them where people can choose to donate to their general needs, educational/academic or employment preparation.
