I found this article quite interesting as well.  I learned what synodal 
means.  The current Synod on Synodalism is  very close to the initiative 
of participatory research into the mission of the laity that I 
championed in the 80's . I garnered the support of the Council of 
Canadian Bishops for the project and approval for the project was then 
vetoed by at the time Arch Bishop Ambrosic. That ended my career in the 
church.  When you have a family to support you can only work in faith so 
long.

The synod will take place in 2023 and the article laments that the 
parishes are as yet unaware of the consultation process.  I am wondering 
if there is a way that our Sunday community and taproot can participate 
,more fully in the consultation process.   After all our participatory 
liturgies and discussion lists form the basis of a synod of the laity.
