I have to send regrets for the October 10 Sunday Community gathering. On that day, my religious community, the Sisters of St, Joseph of Toronto, will have a special liturgy at St. Paul's Basilica to celebrate the 170th anniversary ot the arrival of the Sisters in Toronto and thus the beginning of  the Sisters of St Joseph of Toronto.
Thanksgiving Blessings to All!
Jean

Hi folks,
This is to give you some advance information about SUNDAY OCTOBER 10.
We do not have a priest scheduled for October 10th. (Fr. Bob Holmes will be with the CPT (Christian Peacemaker Teams) in British Columbia assisting the Wet'suwet'en people as they protest against the building of the Coastal Gaslink pipeline across their ancestral lands.
That weekend is Thanksgiving Weekend, and Monday October 11 is Thanksgiving Day in Canada.  Elizabeth Whelan and Mary Lou Halferty, planners for the day, have consulted and decided that, although we will not have a Eucharist, it would still be good to have a liturgy of reflection and prayer on that Sunday to mark Thanksgiving as a community.
So... at the usual time, 11 AM, on Sunday October 10th, using the usual Zoom link, we will gather online as a community for a liturgical service that will include song, readings and personal reflections, and prayer.  We know already that some of the regulars will be away for the weekend, but all those who can are welcome to join together in this Thanksgiving gathering.
In the week leading up to October 10th, Mary Lou will email a program for the Sunday to everyone.
Best wishes to all,
Brian
