A short film on Netflix

Hi, all,

I mentioned a short film that I watched last night on Netflix during the
announcements today: It is called "Forgive us our trespasses". I am not
sure quite what to make of us, esp. in terms of today's readings. If
anybody else has Netflix and can watch this film, please send me your
thoughts/ideas etc. There is something there that is good and rich with
respect to society's treatment of disabled people, esp., children.

PS: Our current society's treatment of those who are for reasons of many
different disabilities, unable to work is despicable. I know that many
seniors in our society are disabled but having put in the expected years of
working/professional life, and being eligible for income support based on
that is not quite the experience that people who can't hold down full-time
jobs for reasons of disabilities (including disabling mental illnesses) is
not really the same.

Peace to all, Pat

(My cellphone ran out of juice during a phone call after mass. Sorry to
John Scandiffio, with whom I was having an interesting conversation.)
