Our Narrative in ok love with Christ. We live and love our story.

This is a story of the spirit in faith blossoms in the entanglement of good works of life, music and love. A tale of living the love of music.

The Sunday Community joined with many others to support a fine young pianist performance at Toronto’s famed international concert venue. Our Spirit was ignited by Marie Noelle Maillard. Marie Noelle was from France and a lover of classical works of music. Antonín Kubalek was the force that needed our help. He was a renown teacher, pianist and sponsor of the many art programs and festivals in Canada and Czechoslovakia . I was fortunate enough to be Antonin’s driver to many events. I spoke of being a Red Cap at the railway station and carrying Glenn Gould’s wooden music case to the train heading to New York. Antonín spoke of Glenn Gould who stood in the wings at his first performance in Canada 1968. Gould gave Antonín two thousand dollars to help him get settled in Canada. Antonín also spoke of the tribulations working with Czechoslovakia’s official state processes .

Antonín sometimes would open his garage doors in the lane way behind his home and play for neighbours and others Czech classical works.

After the young artists performance at Roy Thompson Hall a few of us were invited to share a quiet time with Antonín and others who helped make the evening possible.

At the table was the father of the young pianist. The father was a Russian Jew who like Antonín immigrated to Canada .

Antonín said to the father, I was in Wenceslas Square in 1968 when the Russians invaded and entered Prague . The father replied, I was drafted into the army and I was in one of the tanks that circled around the square. Many of us know that infamous scene . A peaceful silence followed.

We know that one day a caring talk will take place in Canada at a quiet reception outside a hall dedicated to our love of music and peace .
