Hi all.

What a marvelous year has passed and now I see in this upcoming year the
manifestation of the Christmas story.  Light is coming into the world
revealing the powerful reality and beauty of creation that in these times
is hidden by fear and mass psychosis.

So much has happened in 2021 Angie and I have lived the entirety  of 2021
in our new Chemainus home on Vancouver Island. Here is a Youtube depicting  my
2nd annual New Years plunge into the Georgia Strait.

live a more paleo lifestyle cooperating with creation to regenerate an
edible forest.

How satisfying it is to it own the product of our labour.  We began by
cutting down the Medusa cedar trees threatening our home and those of my
neighbors. I then milled the Cedars into lumber.  I work the back end of
the mill on the hottest day of the year baptizing my relationship to this
piece of land with my blood and sweat. My tears now a memory of the past.
>From the lumber I milled I was able to construct a deck and a sauna. The
sauna was functional a week before Christmas and  facilitated my 2nd annual
new years plunge.

In July I was able to attend my daughter Maya's wedding to Brandon Willms
at canoe medals in the Kananaskis river near Calgary.  I shared this
celebration with Angie, my grandchild, my children, my four brothers,and
Brandon's lovely Mennonite family and their wholesome kayaking community.

My son Jacob and Samantha Coomara had to cancel their second attempt to
celebrate marriage in June because of covert restrictions. As previously
planned  they visited us were here in Chemainus. It was great that I could
spend some time with my 13 year old grandson Sebastien.  Third times a
charm. After returning to Toronto they successfully had a much smaller
wedding celebration which Angie and I  could not attend.

2021 culminated in the healthy birth of my second grandson, Jackson on Dec.
28th.  Jackson was breach and his mother Brooke was scheduled for a
cesarean on the 28th.  The tension increased when Brooke and my son
Jonathan learned on boxing Day they had contracted Covid from Brooke's
brother who although ill joined in the Christmas festivities thinking that
he would not spread Covid because he was fully vaccinated.  Brooke was ill
until she went to the operating room, experiencing no symptoms thereafter.
Jon recovered shortly thereafter.  All are healthy and immune.
