People may find this article by Yves Engler interesting, demonstrating how
Canada's air force has been used in American imperial wars and has been
responsible for large numbers of civilian deaths and injuries.  This
includes that fact that Canadian and American war planes in Iraq also
bombed much civilian infrastructure such as water filtration and sanitation
plants condemning many innocent civilians to death by disease from
contaminated water.  All of this is ignored by Canada's major media outlets
who refuse to challenge our participation in the military industrial
complex at a time when we are facing the existential threats of militari$m,
climate emergency, pandemic and a whole host of problems that fighter jets
in fact will not protect us against.  However, the same thinking that lead
to World Wars I and II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan still prevails
among our world's leaders including right here in Canada.
