Dear Friends,

On October 9-10, 2021, in Rome, Pope Francis opened the process towards the XVI Ordinary Synod of Bishops which will take place in Rome in October 2023. It is to be entitled, “For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation and Mission.” In fulfillment of JEM’s mandate, we would like to ensure that a renewed interest in ecological ministry becomes a hallmark of Canadian synodal reflections.

  *   Religious congregations can prepare and send a document to the CRC, including all or some of the recommendations suggested in this document before their February 1, 2022 deadline.
  *   Catholics can share this document widely and use it as they see fit for discussions related to the synod process.
