I highly recommend this webinar. It was sent to me by a friend and, after
listening to it I feel like I’ve had a conversion experience from cynicism
to hopefulness for the Synod that is taking place in the church. All are
welcome to participate, Catholics, used to be Catholics, and never have
been or want to be Catholics.

Hi everyone,
I recommend this webinar by a group based in St. Basil’s parish.  David
Walsh circulated it recently. St.Basil’s is the parish at the University of
St. Michael’s College.
There are 3 10 minute talks, followed by a lengthy Q &A.
The talks are by Morgan Rice, CSB, the parish pastor; John Dalla Costa on
Pope Francis’ understanding of church & synodality; and by Marta Rodrigues
on women & the synodal process.
I don’t have a clear picture of how the perspective of this webinar fits
into the many spiritual & theological currents in the church, but it is
certainly is informative & stimulating of further discussion.
It is of particular interest because it comes from a group based in Toronto
with links to other countries, particularly in Europe.
