Hi everyone,
I just sent my letter to Fridays for the Future. It's easy to do -
instructions in email below.   I hope you will consider sending the letter
also. .  The letter writing campaign lasts until April 1.

*March 25th is a global day of action for the climate.*

*Fridays For Future (Greta Thunberg and colleagues
 https://fridaysforfuture.org/ <https://fridaysforfuture.org/> ) have
called for world wide demonstrations with the theme #PeopleNotProfit.*



*Consistent with our purpose – to support youth in the fight for climate
action - we want to build support for youth on March 25th. *



*It is of course critical that people are mobilized across the globe to
demonstrate and demand action. E**specially now when dire warnings about
climate destruction are intensifying and while war is raging.*



*However many of us won’t be able to attend. And SCAN!’s numbers are
limited.*



*Still we want to show the broadest possible support to youth.*



*So SCAN! is running a short campaign of solidarity from Wednesday March 23
to Friday April 1st *

*What is the campaign? Send as many messages of solidarity from as far and
wide as possible.*



*We are asking seniors to write solidarity messages to Greta Thunberg of
Fridays For Future. *



*A solidarity letter is attached. Please send this letter to Greta.
Distribute it others - as far and as wide as possible. Ask them to pass it
on. Send it across the country and even to people you know in other
countries.*



*Copies are to go to the Prime Minister and the federal Ministers of
Environment and Climate Change, **Women and Gender Equality and Youth, and
Seniors, and to the Premier of Ontario.*



*And we would like SCAN! copied as well!*



*Why?** Because we want to be able to tabulate and make known the extent of
support that there is for youth. This is an important message for all to
hear – that seniors support youth.*



*Some things we ask you to do:*

   1. *Copy and paste the letter into an email to Greta or send it as an
   attachment. Type in your name and City*
   2. *Make sure to copy SCAN! seniorscanow at protonmail.com
   <seniorscanow at protonmail.com>*
   3. *Forward this email message to friends – ask them to send the letter.
   And make sure to ask them to copy SCAN! seniorscanow at protonmail.com
   <seniorscanow at protonmail.com> *
   4. *And let them know it can be adapted. If someone doesn’t identify as
   a senior they can simply take “I am a senior” out of the letter and send it
   on. Please ask them to copy us even if they make that change. Let’s make
   the support as broad as possible.*

the campaign more successful.*
