Subject: Fw: Fr. Bob Holmes
Hi Everyone
Some of you will have received this from Rosemary Keenan from Pax Christi but I thought I'd pass it along. Seems as if Bob is improving slowly. Good news
There is also an address and phone number for Bob.
I'll try to visit when I return to Toronto next week.
Peace
Sylvia

Pax Christi Friends,
This afternoon I was able to talk with Fr. Bob over the phone to wish him Easter Blessings and let him know we are thinking of him. Thank you Sr. Mary-Ellen for providing Fr. Bob's contact info.
Fr. Bob sounds well but is still connected to a feeding tube so he has not been able to eat food or have a coffee for many months. Therefore he is living at a retirement home in North York where there are nurses to support him. It has been a 4 month journey to recovery so far.
Fr. Bob would love to hear from you and has allowed me to share his contact information. He is allowed as many as 5 visitors at a time, or is easily reached by phone.
Today I have been recalling the many ways Fr. Bob has engaged us in actions for peace since our inception as Catholics for Peace in 2006. Many of you have known Fr. Bob longer than I have.
Teaching and leading by example Fr. Bob has inspired us at retreats, conferences, and Sunday Community. He invited us to join his Nonviolence training sessions, to organize Peace Walks, to stand with First Nations at Sharbot Lake and Grassy Narrows, to rally for peace at the G20 in Toronto, to write articles for the Basilian publication 'Stirrings', to travel to the Pax Christi USA National Conference in Chicago, to join CPT solidarity trips to Palestine, to protest the injustices of extractive industries at the PDAC convention in Toronto, and much much more. What a wonderful Teacher of Peace in our midst!
You can reach Fr. Bob at 416-566-6006
His address is:
Gibson Retirement Residence, Rm. 303, (corner of Leslie)
1955 Steeles Ave. E.,
North York, Ont.
M2H 3P1
Peace & Blessings,
Rosemary
