I was planning to come but now we have to go Guelph for a funeral service that day - death in the family.  That's in the morning but I’ll stay and visit with my sisters who I haven’t seen in person for two years.

The Sunday Community Potluck Supper Gatherings are back!
The second  gathering this summer is on Saturday, August 20, starting just after 5 PM. (One hour street parking until 6 PM.)

The gathering will be outdoors — weather permitting. If it rains, we will come indoors.
If you cannot do stairs to the deck, there is an area at ground level that is accessible. (There is no washroom, only a leafy area
   for privacy.)

It's Potluck! Please bring a dish to share. Bring something that you like to eat! I will prepare several dishes, but would

Directions to 154 Walmer Road (5 streetlamps south of Dupont St.) :

There's a streetlamp in front of my house, and usually a red Subaru in the driveway. The other space is NOT 'legal.' Cars can be tagged and towed from it.


TTC  Take the subway to the Dupont station (at Spadina Rd.)  Go through the plexiglass entry/exit gates, turn right, take the escalator up, and exit by the door on the left onto the south side of Dupont St. (It's marked Emergency Exit, but it's the main exit!)

Turn left and cross Spadina Rd. (Shoppers Drug Mart is on the north side of Dupont -- just before Walmer.) Walk one short block west, turn left on Walmer and walk south about ten houses. 154 is at the fifth streetlight on the west (right) side of Walmer.

Driving  Walmer Rd is the first street west of Spadina Rd, running north from Bloor St. You can turn north onto Walmer from Bloor W, or south from Dupont St. **Avoid Spadina Rd between 3:30 and 6:30 PM on weekdays. (see ** below)

•  Bloor W: There's a light at Bloor West and Walmer. Turn onto Walmer and drive north (around the circle and make a fast RL dog-leg at Kendal,) and continue north to #154 Walmer.

• Take Dupont and turn south onto Walmer, about 1/3 block to #154.

**Take Spadina to Bernard Av. (3rd traffic light north of Bloor) turn L onto Bernard, then first R onto Walmer, drive N  to #154.  NO left turns off Spadina Rd between 3:30 and 6:30 PM, on weekdays.

Street parking on the east side of Walmer, where and when available: Limited spaces, One Hour limit from 10 AM till 6 PM, and Permit Parking from 12:01 AM till 10 AM. Bernard Av. (first street south) doesn’t have a time limit. Dupont St. has metered parking till 9 PM,
and no parking during rush hours.
