[Sundaycommunity] I just signed this petition -- will you?

Hi, all,

I am in a 4 bed room here in a chronic care hospital here in Hamilton with
2 of my patient roommates who are ODSP recipients.  We have grumbled about
the bureaucracy and the difficulties of living on nothing together but this
does not affect the care any of us received either at the Hamilton General
or here at St. Peter's.  This is only opening the door to a two-tiered
medical system where the type and quality of care will be determined by the
size of your bank account - those who will suffer most will be those most
unable to afford the same care that anybody else does.

But I'm preaching to the choir.  I am not a fan of signing Leadnow
petitions, as I wonder how much the Ontario government in particular pay
attention to them.  (I joined leadnow in its early days when the focus was
on something to push us past -first-past-the-post elections.

I started this to suggest that if you are seriously concerned about this
and have the time and energy, please  send an email to your MPP, especially
if you have the misfortune to be represented by a Conservative.  (As am I
here in Hamilton since the last election.)
