I will go on the Thurs. at 10:00 in the morning.  (I will go there at 9:30 for the COVID Tests).  I go to 6 St. Joseph St. getting there at 12:00 - would this be easy for me, or NOT?  Please let me know.  (I know, it is just a "point" in your LIFE that YOU will have to "measure" - please measure it and let me KNOW, if I can do it.)I do hold you both, but with Mary Lou ESPECIALLY, in the Palm of my Hands,

 Hi Sunday Community,
Mary Lou made the move on this past Tuesday from Providence Health Care to True Davidson Acres.  The move took place fairly early in the day, around 8 AM.  I was there, along with our sons Peter and Michael.  Michael travelled with his Mom in the ambulance.  Peter took charge of transporting Mary Lou's personal belongings.  The arrival went well.  Mary Lou was soon in her new room, on the top (5th) floor of the building, Room 531.  It's a private room, and a fairly small room.  One of Mary Lou's first comments was, "I've been in closets bigger than this."  There's a fairly nice view out her window over part of Taylor Creek Park, although on the day of  her move and the days since the weather has been wet and very grey. 
There was a long intake procedure, meeting with a couple of people, reading documents, signing forms, etc.  All the staff we have met so far are very nice.  Mary Lou is fairly quickly meeting people like nurses, PSWs, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, etc.  
Visitors are welcome.  Every visitor, upon entering the building, has to go through the COVID protocols, which involve answering a questionnaire on a tablet and having a COVID rapid-test done. This all takes about 15 to 20 minutes.  The elevators are right in the main lobby, and Mary Lou is on thee 5th floor, Room 531. If you get to the 5th floor and have trouble finding her, just ask one of the staff.
True Davidson Acres is at 200 Dawes Road, Toronto, ON  M4C 5M8.  There are two parking lots, one just opposite the front entrance, and a second down a hill on a lower level.  In terms of public transit, there is a TTC bus route on Dawes Road.  You can get the bus at the Main Street Subway Station on the Bloor Line.  The bus goes East along Danforth Avenue for a short distance, then turns North on Dawes Road.  Get off the bus at Goodwood Park Court.  The driveway up into the True Davidson property is just across the street, and there's a large City of Toronto sign with True Davidson Acres marked on it.
All of this change and major transition in our marital and family life continues to be a difficult challenge, but we are conscious of the emotional and spiritual support that so many have offered us, and we are very grateful.
