** asking for more Housing, Shelter, and Warming Centres*





Two people living outside have died from the cold this winter.

Every night in December, over 100 people asked for shelter and were refused
due to shelters being at capacity.

The Emergency Cold Weather Warming Centres are not currently open despite
the freezing temperatures.

Police and park security are actively removing survival gear (tents and
sleeping bags) from public space.



We’ll be praying for a compassionate response to our housing crisis, while
the Executive Committee is meeting on January 31st. The next day, Feb 1st,
the mayor announces the proposed budget, which will be voted on by the city
council of February 14th.
