Here is an update that you can share with the community. Thank you so much for requesting this and distributing it.

Dear CIC Community,

As you may have heard. My mother, Lee Piepgrass, was struck by a car while walking home from her local coffee shop on Monday, Feb 6. She sustained significant and traumatic injuries and was rushed to the hospital where she is in the ICU. Lee will live, but these are life changing injuries and we would ask you to please respect her privacy in these early stages of treatment and healing. There will be a time in the not too distant future when visitors will form a critical part of her healing, but until then - please send your thoughts and prayers, which are very gratefully received.

I will do my best to update you all again when we reach a new threshold of progress.
