Dear Dean!  (You are now sufficiently REVEALED!)
    I am glad that you were involved with the Scarboro Missions, as on a retreat, in 1974, I had a brain haemorrhage, on a retreat with Fr. "TERRY" Gallagher - I know that as a Scarboro Missions man, that you would be well acquainted with HIM!  He is a magnificent man, one with whom I share many a laugh with and one with whom I have a great deal of respect for.      I was knocked unconscious for 8 weeks time, at Western Hospital, and then I went to the ONTARIO CRIPPLED CHILDREN CENTRE, for the next 5 months.  I cannot remember the Western Hospital, as I was unconscious then, but after I was home in July of 1975, I was brought to the hospital, met with Dr. Harvey Shutz, my "OPERATING MAN", was introduced by my MOTHER (!), and was SO VERY thankful that he was my doctor.  Life is almost always good - in fact it is GOOD, if one has a faith in the Lord God, or the "MYSTERY" in my terms.    
    I was an honours student in Gr. 13, I had just come to Toronto, from London On.  I was the First Vice President of the Ontario Catholic Student Federation - I was an expanding student, I did not want to be quiet at all!  I made this very clear to all of the students on the retreat.  I did go unconscious on the Thursday of that retreat - Fr. Terry Gallagher, whom I respect "SO MUCH", was instrumental in myI d recovery - by just showing up to see how I was doing, in writing letters to my parents, to me and in BEING "Fr. Terry Gallagher"!!!!!!!!!WE have kept up our relationship to this day!!!!!
    I do know what you are speaking of!
    I am now 65, and it is a REAL PLEASURE to get to know YOU.  When we are back to having a Mass with all of the people at it, it will be a REAL PLEASURE to meet with you.  Are you in the Toronto Region or where are YOU?  (in the "Conception" or "CONSUELO" in the Dominican Republic?)  How old are you?  Scarboro Missions is now at PRESENTATION MANOR, where I do see Terry Gallagher, many times.  I am at the intersection of Eglinton and Yonge, in the STANLEY KNOWLES HOUSING CO-OP.  I worked for 29.3 years time for the Ministry of Labour, on a Permanent Part-Time job (10:30-5:00) doing up Photocopying, Faxing, Distributing of Materials, Binders, Supplies and MANY OTHER THINGS!  I did really enjoy my JOB!  I met Senator Tony Dean, one of my "bosses", (with whom I asked out for a meal, 45-50, and we are still going out for meals, only now it is once every 6 months = but it is still going out for a meal!!!!!!!)

    YOU are an interesting man, one with whom I could get to know much better.  Please do reply to this letter.  I am married to a man who has his PhD in History.  He also has Dyslexia and Asperger's Disease - he has never made over $22,000 in his life, but he is a GOOD man.  He works for PRESERVATION of AGRICULTURAL LAND SOCIETY, as their RESEARCHER and has written 5 books, including,
1.    Petrotryanny = about Oil, War and Dictatorship2.    Two Billion Trees and Counting = about Edmund G. Zavitz and how he was the second Environmental Engineer that Canada has ever had, and how he reinvigorated the Oak Ridges Moraine, by planting Carnivorous trees over deciduous trees and this helped the whole thing to continue and be reinvigorated again!3.    His thesis, on the Canadian Housing Policy4.    Chief Dan George = the father of Pauline Johnson, one of our most revered poets!5.    a book about the MPP from Thorold = self published, but still it was PUBLISHED!

“Who are you?” is often a tough question to respond to… I’ll be as brief as possible…
I’m originally from Calgary Alberta… I’m a Social Worker (BSW; University of Calgary 1989)… I joined the Scarboro Foreign Mission Society as a lay missioner in 1990 and was missioned to Consuelo in the eastern part of the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 in the spring of 1991. Once here I developed a program for visiting Canadian Catholic high school students and their teacher / chaplain / adult co-participants. Most of our groups hail from southern Ontario. 
My association with Scarboro Missions came to an end in the fall of 2001 but I have continued here in the DR on my own with the support of the local Bishop and Diocese. 
Our work with the visiting groups came to a sudden halt in February 2020 due to the pandemic. Now, more than 3 years later, a number of group coordiantors are exploring the possibility of bringing groups to Consuelo from their schools once again. 🙏🏼 
These visiting groups, especially the adult co-participants, formed an important network of people that kept me linked to my Canadian reality. Not having this link over these past three years has been very difficult for me personally. I was able to connect with the Sunday Community a few weeks ago (via my friendship with Art Bloome) and now find the weekly liturgy (and the wonderful reflections shared in advance of each liturgy) are a good way for me to rebuild my connections with people at home once again - and being part of this faith community has been life giving for me personally. I thank the community for welcoming me so warmly!
I hope this gives you an idea about “who I am”… Am I sufficiently “revealed”? 🤣
