Jennifer Penney is a member of the CALL Climate Advocacy Interest Group.
She is also a member of SCAN! (Seniors for Climate Action Now) one of our
partners in the struggle for climate justice and developing strategies to
rapidly reduce our impact on the planet.  Jennifer has a background and
expertise in climate adaption.

A group of SCAN! members have been convening recently as an Adaptation
Caucus. Their goal is to urge comprehensive action on the crucial task of
anticipating and reducing the impacts of climate change on Ontario.

Surprisingly, since it was elected the Ford government commissioned two
reports on the current and expected impacts of climate change, and on
actions the Province needs to take to protect us from those impacts. But,
despite raging wildfires, scorching heatwaves, and increasingly violent
storms, the government is stonewalling all attempts at making the reports
public. And there is no sign that the government is making plans to
implement programs to safeguard us from these hazards.

So, we have written an Open Letter to demand that the Ford government
release those reports. The more people who put their names to this letter,
the more powerful it will be.

   asking them to add their names to the Open Letter. Follow up with them, if
   possible.

When we have 1,000 signatures or more, we plan to hold a press conference
and publish the letter.
