From Ted Schmidt

The Keep Hope Alive is a series of evenings programmed by and hosted at the Carrot Common 348 Danforth Avenue. It is basically a follow up of the Beit Zatoun evening. Guest speakers are Canadians from a variety of backgrounds and careers who have taken a stand in a public and active way on the question of peace or conflict in Israel / Palestine (IP). At some point [they] realized that the question of peace in Israel / Palestine is key to global justice, international law and to peace in the world, and had the courage to speak out publicly or to become active on the issue.

Courtesy of David Walsh, we have four such evenings hosted by presenters with strong background knowledge of the issue but come from different perspectives.

My concern is the religious communities — especially, but not exclusively, the Roman Catholic hierarchy and administration — who have failed to speak in this unprecedented time of genocide of the Palestinian people who again, and again have requested our solidarity.

We must act and speak in this time of unparalleled suffering.

I will be hosting the first night on Friday, Feb 2, 7:15. The remaining 3 months will be on the last Thursday. Robert Massoud will be hosting February 29.

I will be previewing my new book: 2014: The Year Zionism died

Max 45 people at the live event. It will also be zoomed.

If you are interested in being present, email Liz Whelan at erwhelan at icloud.co <mailto:erwhelan at icloud.com>m <mailto:erwhelan at icloud.com> We have room for 45 people

If not, here is the zoom link:
