I don’t think I have sent a message with such urgency. Please read.

 

Please find attached a copy of an urgent email from Philippe Lazarini, the Commissioner of UNRWA to the President of the UN General Assembly.

 

It outlines an astonishing and shocking series of measures undertaken by Israel since the ICJ decision at the end of January to completely and permanently destroy UNRWA.(see p2. Of the letter).

 

The Ottawa Forum on Israel/Palestine will be sending a letter to both the Prime Minister and our UN Ambassador Bob Rae pressing Canada to

(1) reinstate funding for UNRWA, 

(2) register our extreme dissatisfaction with the Israeli government and

(3) join like minded countries to prevent this disaster.

 

I encourage you to consider doing a similar action – either as an individual or through your organization.
