Hello to my family and some of the many people who have been asking me
about Hobo,

Tim O'Connor and I visited  Hobo today for about an hour this morning, just
after he had received the unexpected (to him) news  that he was to be
released to Presentation Manor that same afternoon.

We had an enjoyable discussion, his memory seemed fine, his attitude always
positive and inspiring and his body felt weakened since he has hardly been
out of that bed in 4 days.  He is looking forward to receiving physio
directions when he returns to Presentation so he can get his strength back
up to where it was in allowing him to hike  2 to 4 kilometers daily. The
diagnosis seemed to indicate  an excess of sugar diabetes in his blood -
which seemed strange since he has been on the same diet for 2 1/2 years. He
did seem to have excessive phlegm which led to thinking he may have had
pneumonia  which he didn't. So all was most favourable in our visit, except
his realization of the genocide occuring in Gas and the West Bank - with
Canadian and US involvement.

Hobo has been a role model, inspiration, mentor etc for all of us and I was
thrilled to hear that Brenda Holtkamp has initiated an acknowledgement of
his positive influence on all of us for July7th at Presentation Manor. I am
sure you and many others will be receiving info in the near future. In the
meantime it is such a relief, pleasure, hope, expectation . belief , that
Hobo would recover with all the positive thoughts and prayers being sent
his eway.
