Dear friends,

 

I am sending you this little noteto let you know that on June 28th, coming up, Mary Lou will becelebrating her 80th Birthday. Because of the number – 80 –, it’sone of those significant landmark birthdays, calling for some special attentionfor the birthday girl.

 

Our family will be gathering inToronto on Saturday, June 29th, to mark the event and to celebratetogether.  We regret that we’re not ableon this occasion to expand the invitation list to include friends outside theimmediate family. However, I wanted to let you know that the birthday is happening,and to welcome you to reach out with greetings to Mary Lou if you are able todo so.

 

Ways in which to send greetingsare:

 

a)     Send the message to my email address, bhalferty at yahoo.ca , and I will pass it onto her.

 

b)    I will be posting a special birthdayannouncement on my Facebook page, closer to the date, so if you are onFacebook, you can send a message as a “comment” on my page and I will pass iton.

 

c)     You can send a birthday card by snail mail,

Note however that thisis a landline, and she is not always in her room. Also, the phone is not set upto receive voice mail messages.  Havingsaid that, she is usually in her room in the mid-morning, mid-afternoon, and inthe evening.

 

e)    You are also welcome to pay her a visit.  Visiting times are not limited: you can comeanytime.  

She might be out of herroom for lunch, Noon to 12:40 PM; or for dinner, 5 to 6 PM.

 

Thanks to all of you for your friendship, your support, and forall the good times we have shared together over the years.
