[Sundaycommunity] Heartbreaking News: Passing of our beloved Rita Shaughnessy

Dear Brian and Family

I am shocked to learn of Rita’s passing. Rita has been a warm and welcoming member of our Sunday community, and I always enjoyed seeing her at the Book Sale each year where we talked about all the books her team had sorted that year.

I will certainly miss Rita’s warm presence, and you are all in my prayers.

My heart is with you Brian.

Dear family and friends of Rita,



It is with deep sorrow that we share the sudden and heartbreaking news of the passing of our beautiful mother, wife, and Nonna on Thursday, July 18. She was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 thymic cancer in May. Unfortunately, and unexpectedly, her illness was aggressive and progressed rapidly.



Despite the swift progression, she remained peaceful and was surrounded by family and friends right through to the end. This love and support meant the world to her and to us during these challenging times.



Your thoughts, prayers, and condolences are deeply appreciated as we navigate this difficult time together.
