Thought you might like to read this.
I think all we can hope for coming from this synod is that the system that
can make changes is changed, not that any specific changes will happen.
Allowing lay people into the system, especially women, will hopefully make
changes that couldn’t be seen before.

The October 2024 session of the Synod began with a penitential liturgy in
which Pope Francis & Synod participants identified, & asked forgiveness
for, the sins which hinder the church’s mission to bear witness to the
Gospel.
