[Sundaycommunity] Retreat -The Synod on Synodality

Happy Sunday afternoon!

Thanks to those stayed for our cyber retreat after Mass today.
We continued on ZOOM after a 10 minute break.

Father Ron lead our retreat.
He had emailed information from the working document, Instrumentum Laboris,
that we could download.
He invited us to pray and reflect, and then prepare our sharing by focusing
on one or two points that were vital to each of us.

Participants took the opportunity to share and everyone
enjoyed discussions that were spiritual, informative, wide reaching, and
dynamic.

At the conclusion Father Ron shared screens from Sister Elizabeth that
helped extend our understanding of Instrumentum Laboris.

Thanks to Bill and Art who were on the planning team. and
I was the moderator.

Sylvia , at the beginning, and Helena, at the end, sang .

We discussed how few priests there are and recognized it is a serious issue.
The role of women and how their participation could help in this area  does
not have a ready answer.
Many support the ordination of women and realize it is a situation waiting
to be solved, hopefully soon.
