Here is the link to the obituary for Brigid that tells some of the story of her remarkable life and work for women's equality. It is with deep sadness that I want to inform you that our dear friend Brigid O’Reilly died Wednesday night. Brigid was a long standing member of the Toronto region and loved and respected by everyone. She was also a member of the Taproot community here in Toronto and will be missed deeply. Obit and other details will follow.
Please keep her husband Tom and her family and friends in your prayers. We know Brigid is basking in God’s love along with our other CNWE sisters who have died.
And also keep the Taproot community in your prayers please. We are a small faith community of progressive and egalitarian Catholics and have lost 4 of our members since June; Ann Manuel, Marie Cerny, Liz Whelan, and now Brigid, with three more of us in active hospitals and one in long term care. It’s been very hard for us all.
Thanks for being such a loving and supportive community. ❤️ to all, Catherine
